2009 - Launching of Ultra Precision TCXO, +/-0.1 ppm TCVCXO for FemtoCell and PicoCell frequency control.
2008 - Joint Venture operation opened in Japan added capacitor of high frequency CMOS, LVDS and PECL products. Relationship with AXTAL GmbH & Co. KG to support their OCXOs, Langasite and Langatate blanks and wafers in the Americas. Introduction of high stability CMOS TCXOs.
2007 - Began the development of low cost OCXOs especially for FemtoCell and PicoCell frequency control solutions Began development of specially constructed oscillators and VCXOs for the medical field.
2006 - The LV9/PE9/VPU7/VLU7 LVDS and PECL clock oscillators and VCXO introduced. First 1GHz PECL 5x7mm oscillator shipped.
2006 - Development of new ASICs for high frequency PECL and LVDS clock oscillators and VCXOs will be completed.
2005 - High frequency and low jitter
The first high frequency (106.25MHz and 212.5MHz) low jitter and low cost LVDS and PECL oscillators using electronic techniques to provide the high frequencies were shipped in volume. Pletronics provided two foundries with this technology to support our customer needs. Restructured the company’s representation to provide added customer design and application support
2004 - Established a joint venture with a foundry in Republic of Korea
When high frequency solutions using electronic multiplication schemes became economically feasible, the HFF product development was ended
2003 - Opened International Support Centers in Singapore and Hong Kong
2002 - Registered by BSI for ISO 9001:2000
2001 - Began development of an “inverted mesa” high frequency fundamental (HFF) crystal product
The goal was to be able to make above 300MHz fundamental mode AT cut crystals. Began manufacturing of PECL and LVDS oscillators
2000 - Namhan factory sold
The foundry was sold when the Pletronics’ product mix changed and it was impractical to upgrade the facility. Also, when increasing labor rates in the ROK pointed to the need for added automation. The "in-line" automated manufacturing model for making the miniature ceramic devices means that independent contract facilities are more capable of meeting Pletronics’ needs.
1998 - Bekly Corporation closed and integrated into Pletronics.
The facility was terminated when the plastic J lead packages no longer met customer needs. The packages were too tall and the long leads would not lend themselves to the ever increasing bandwidth requirements.
1997 - Joint venture with Avance Inc. and Saronix Inc. was terminated.
The production cost of the “tab mesa” crystal did not meet Pletronics’ product needs.
1996 - Registered by BSI for ISO 9001-1994
1995 - Certified by the State of Washington as a minority owned business.
1989 - Joint venture formed with Avance Inc and Saronix Inc.
The joint venture was formed to develop a high frequency quartz resonator that could be mass produced. This venture led to the development of the “tab mesa” high frequency fundamental crystal.
1988 - Bekly Corporation formed as a wholly owned subsidiary of Pletronics.
A semi-automated facility in the Pacific Northwest to build small foot print oscillators, specializing in plastic molded parts
1983 - Opened a wholly owned foundry (Namhan) in Republic of Korea
Built up the facility to produce a good supply of high end oscillators. Mainly a DIP package capable factory
1979 - Pletronics incorporated in the State of Washington, U.S.A.
